Scott Fish Bowl 360: I Love Lamp Division

I bet the people in this division feel a little cheated with the name unless they are huge Steve Carrel fans. Welcome to the Anchorman Conference, I Love Lamp Division.

I’m just another dude that enjoys fantasy football. I’m orbiting just outside of the Twittersphere these days.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

No one in particular. They are all standing in the way of my path to glory

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

I enjoy the ride – that is the draft, and try to snag the best player I can. This particular group of fantasy ballers in my draft were very sharp.

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I’ve been told by many that my Wiffle Ball Knuckle Curve is magical and that it’s likely a gift from the gods. Problem is, after batters see it a few times, they start crushing it.

Anthony Grace — FFChamps

I go by the PPR monster (@thePPRmonster) because I believe that PPR scoring makes fantasy football more even as far as drafting and much more fun! RBs, WRs, and TEs all catch passes so why not get rewarded for what they are doing? People need to be aware of the PPR format and who better than a monster to get everyone’s attention on this important matter!

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I can’t say I want to take down one more than the other … I am a monster and I’ll take down whoever stands in my way!

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

Well 2 strong quarterbacks would be the best start but picking in the middle of the draft I’m going to go best player available and hope a few sleeper QBs I love this year can pick up any slack in the passing attack for my squad.

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I have a 2nd degree black belt in karate and can play the trumpet. [Zach note: You need to meet Mr. Chad Parsons.]

Phil Alexander — Football Guys

@PhilTWR. Always swinging for the fences. No matter how many times I’ve ended up looking like this.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

The fans. Rumor has it you have to turn in your FSWA membership card at your local Bed, Bath & Beyond if they finish in front of you.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

I’m more inclined to go with an early-ish QB (fourth or fifth round) in this format than I would in standard leagues, but my main concern is mitigating the uncertainty that comes with drafting in early July. I planned to use my early picks on players with concrete roles and extended track records of top shelf production. But after I passed on Calvin Johnson for C.J. Anderson in Round 2, and Peyton Manning for DeAndre Hopkins in round 3, I guess I’m just doing what I always do – picking the players I think are going to have the best seasons.

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I can think up really regrettable tattoo ideas and then get them tattooed on me.

Ryan Boser — LeagueSafePost

In the age of metric formulas and projection models, I continue to rely solely upon common sense and bourbon.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I’m actually not real familiar with my division mates, but I’ll go Phil Alexander since he has the FBG target on his back.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

I’m actually more interested in the .25PP/Rush Att angle; just took Adrian Peterson 1.01 as I’m expecting him to lead the league in volume.

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I can do 100 pushups in 20 minutes.

Chris Kuszelyk — Paragon Fantasy Football

Kyle Soppe — Pro Football Focus

Can you give me a two-sentence introduction to your fantasy football “personna”? Feel free to include your Twitter handle.

My name is Kyle Soppe (@unSOPable23) and I am a professional number cruncher. Research is my calling card and I’ll tackle any study … big time opponent to those who say Fantasy success is “luck”. To me, “luck” is worse than a lot of other four letter words that you could use.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I’m unfamiliar with everyone in my division, but with a Anthony Grace of FFChamps in the league, he’s my target … because, well, I want to be the FFChamp!

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

I’m treating this as a two quarterback league. Yes, I know the second spot is a FLEX, but with quarterbacks typically scoring the most points, I’m targeting them early and often. I may use an early pick to get strong value on a RB/WR, but I intend on exiting the first four rounds with both of my quarterbacks if at all possible (always depends on the way the draft unfolds, but that is the mindset going in).

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I lack in most none Fantasy related aspects of life, but I am sure to be the premium peanut butter meal man of this group. Add banana, make shakes, create wraps/panini’s … my talent truly is unlimited in Fantasy sports and gourmet Peanut Butter. [Zach note: Now that I’m buried in the fantasy/beer communities, can I get into the peanut butter community? Secret handshake?]

Obsessed with Fantasy Football, but only when I have time. May come off like a dick, but I’m just blunt and to the point.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I really don’t know anyone in this division, so I guess I’d like to at least beat the other Fans.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

I’m all about getting the guys I want and I could care less if I overpay.

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I’m pretty talentless, unless we include drinking booze. [Zach note: We may have equal talents.]

Matt Karas — Fan

@HeyMattK I’m really into dynasty football and you’ll see me retweet the guys over at DLF the most. Believer in PPR is the new normal. I am a Travis Kelce super fan.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

Other then the two other fans in the league. I’ll go with Eric Coleman since he writes for DLF.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

I’m normally a late round QB guy but with the super flex and having the 2nd pick, I’m leaning going QB early. Is 2nd overall to early to go Kelce?

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I’m really talented at being average at everything I do.
