TJ Hernandez — Draft Day Consultants

Can you give me a two-sentence introduction to your fantasy football “personna”? Feel free to include your Twitter handle.

I’m the resident TE streamer for 4for4.com and DFS writer for FantasyInsiders.com. I’m repping DraftDayConsultants.com in #SFB360 where I write a DFS newsletter and do season-long consulting. Twitter: @TJHernandez

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I’m interested to see how my team stacks up against Matthew Freedman, since we both went zero RB and waited (kind of) on QB.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

Because it’s such a huge tournament, I took an approach similar to that of a DFS GPP. I paid up for pass catchers and took value at RB. With the superflex option, I wanted to let everyone else pay for QBs but still get two signal callers that are likely to start all 16 games in the QB12-20 range.

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I once beat the original Super Mario Bros in 6 minutes

Stephen Lear — Dynasty Football Warehouse

Can you give me a two-sentence introduction to your fantasy football “personna”? Feel free to include your Twitter handle.

I’ve been playing fantasy football for just over 10 years now. Dynasty for probably the past 5. Big proponent of taking QBs later. @smlear2

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I don’t want to take anyone “out” necessarily but I thought Jody had made it super tough for me in the draft scooping up a good deal of my targets. Looking forward to that week.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

Late round QB as I always do because I thought even though this format is essentially 2QB, with the deeper lineups it evens everyone out. I wanted to fill out the rest of my lineup out first. A few people went no RB and the draft kinda fell to me where going RB heavy made the most sense.

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I can make the best apple pie.

Brian Bulmer — Dynasty League Football

Josh Berger — Fake Pigskin

Can you give me a two-sentence introduction to your fantasy football “personna”? Feel free to include your Twitter handle.

I write about all things for 2QB and SuperFlex formats. I am a passionate fan of the Broncos and a confused fan of the Cowboys, and I post on Twitter at @BergerTwoQBs.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I will particularly enjoy beating Jeff Miller this year.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

It seemed that in my draft a lot of WR’s were going a little early, so I stocked up on RB’s. Got to enjoy the .25 ppc!

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

It is shocking how few other talents I have.

Bob Lung — FFConsistency

Can you give me a two-sentence introduction to your fantasy football “personna”? Feel free to include your Twitter handle.

I focus everything I do in Fantasy Football around the consistency of the players. I invented the Quality Game Scores system and have been using it and promoting it for 13 years and my Twitter is @bob_lung.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I honestly don’t recognize any of these guys in my league, so I guess I want to take them all down and win my division.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

Since I was near the turn in each round, I went with the most consistent players I could get while watching for the point that there were two solid QB’s left to draft back-to-back and that occurred in rounds 4-5 when I drafted Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford. [Zach note: When I think of Stafford, “consistent” doesn’t come to mind unless you’re talking about his backward hat game.]

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I’m a Certified Public Accountant, maybe? Not sure if that would shock or awe anyone, but that’s all I have, sorry.

Jody Smith — Gridiron Experts

Can you give me a two-sentence introduction to your fantasy football “personna”? Feel free to include your Twitter handle.

@jodysmithnfl because he is the National Football League.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I feel like it’s a tough division. Lot of respected writers in there. But honestly, probably the guy that timed out twice and made the draft much worse than needed for the other 11 owners.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

After making the playoffs in the #SFB last year, I knew that I needed to quickly grab a couple of starting QB’s. I was ecstatic to get Andrew Luck to start it off, at 1.04, as he was easily my #1 player in this format. Then, the trouble started as I was all set to take another top QB in Round 3, but I couldn’t resist RB Justin Forsett- not because he was a tremendous value, but because RB was drying up. Also, I was torn between Drew Brees and Peyton Manning. Brees was off the board, so I thought I’d address RB and let QB slip. It ended up being the same story for several rounds and I was disappointed to get Sam Bradford as my QB2, however he is the ideal risk/reward pick in this league with Chip Kelly getting excellent stats from lesser QBs. A healthy Bradford could be a top 10. After that, it was an issue of “best available” the rest of the way out, with a slight emphasis on WR’s that I deemed had high-reception potential.

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I am the 1 dentist out of 5 that does not recommend Trident gum to my patients.

Matthew Freedman — RotoViz

Do these have to be normal sentences? — or can they be standard @MattFtheOracle run-on sentences, like those that you’d read at RotoViz or hear on the RotoViz podcasts?

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I don’t even know who’s in my division. Don’t care. You’re not gonna burn down a forest by chopping down one tree, know what I’m saying? Damn straight, that’s smack talk.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

My untraditional drafting move was basically to ignore the QB position altogether. If I’m going to beat 359 other teams, I’ll have to get lucky at some point in this draft. I figured that I might as well go late-round QB, grab stud WRs & RBs while my league mates go after QBs, and then hope that I get lucky with Marcus Mariota and oh my god I’ve made a huge mistake.

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

I’ve never ridden a bike. Is that shockingly awful? [Zach note: I once broke my face falling off a bike.]

Seth Klein — RotoWriters

Can you give me a two-sentence introduction to your fantasy football “personna”? Feel free to include your Twitter handle.

“Trade machine extraordinaire”, though it won’t help in this league since there is no trading allowed. Crap, I guess I’m screwed.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

Jody Smith. Would be a nice achievement to topple one of the most accurate player rankers on FantasyPros

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

I made sure to solidify my RBs early. I started off strong last year, but drafting Zac Stacy, Alfred Morris, T-Rich and Terrance West as my first 4 RBs ultimately sank me. Yuck! I’m pretty pleased with Lacy and J Hill as my 1-2 punch this year…for now.

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

Three-time National Geography Bee Finalist

Josh Perusse — Fan

Can you give me a two-sentence introduction to your fantasy football “personna”? Feel free to include your Twitter handle.

I was a wandering nerd as a kid who found a (somewhat) socially acceptable hobby to nerd out on. My biggest strength is knowing I am not the smartest guy in the room, so I find that guy and do what he does.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

I want to take down Matthew Freedman the most because he is the only person I’ve spoken to (I got in through Rotoviz’s fan spot) and I don’t like conflict with absolute strangers. Also, he employed the draft strategy I wanted to utilize and his selection of Jordan Matthews basically threw me into a panic.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

I went QB/QB at the turn in rounds 3 and 4 and immediately regretted it. I like Cam and Ben’s floors but I always wait on QB so this made me leave my comfort zone. I think an Eli or Romo a couple of rounds later would have been a better choice as a QB2.
(Funny you say strategery, that word is what got me into this league b/c of a Will Ferrell themed team name contest)

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?

My voice is like a combination of Fergie and Jesus (I’m sure I’m not the first, nor last to give this one!)

I am a research “SuperFreak”. My day job is as an IT Business Analyst at one of the world’s largest online publishers. My Fantasy Football passion started back when we checked scores in the USA Today and kept everything in Lotus Notes.

Who in your division do you want to take down the most?

They will all need to fall, but I view Brian Bulmer’s (Dynasty League Football) team as one of the strongest on paper.

What kind of “strategery” do you plan to employ during this unusual QB flex draft?

Last year, I ran into RB injury trouble in this league so I started RB heavy this year… most of my other leagues are WR early, so I’m interested to see how this year plays out.

What is one non-fantasy football talent that would shock and awe the rest of the league?
